1.
One day we'll all get just what we deserve. Open eyes. Willing hands. This is the world that we made for ourselves. I'd tell you to pray, but it won't help. Red eyes. Clenched fists. An indifferent universe shaking off ticks. I'd tell you to pray, but it won't help. One day we'll all get just what we deserve. If you can't trust your eyes when you look out at the world, let go. Rejoice. One day we'll all get just what we deserve. The eye, the feather, the bullet, the bone. One day we'll all get just what we deserve.
2.
You're blind by choice. It might not be your boot on a throat or your truncheon swing. You say you're free from guilt, but you're not free from blame. There's blood in our eyes. Shameless apologists eat what they're fed. Cut it like a cancer from our heads. There's blood in our eyes.
3.
In Ruins 00:52
I am cancer. I am love. I have a habit of breaking everything I touch. I am frailty. I am crutch. I am the emptiness that makes you want too much. You'll break. House wins. I am blind luck. Unheeded prayers. Echo in the darkness. Cold and empty air. Stare at your hands and wonder how it came to this. Lay back. Surrender. It's endless. You're weightless.
4.
Feel Nothing 01:41
I had a dream I sold out everyone I love, and I felt nothing. I waded through familiar faces reaching out in vain, and I felt nothing. I woke up shaking, terrified of what it might have meant. Did I feel nothing? I had a dream I sold out everyone I love, and I felt nothing. Eyes closed, ice cold. I had a dream that you were pleading for your life. You taught me regret was weak; why do you think I'd feel it now? I had a dream I sold out everyone I love. I had a dream, and it didn't mean a thing to me. Eat what you kill. Reap what you sow.
5.
I fill my mouth with broken glass. I welcome pain. I feel at last. It's purgatory. No, it's midnight mass. I claw at my flesh and discard it like trash. I am a knife. I am an animal. Losing my grip on humanity. I am the worst of us. I shut the door. I board it up. I sit and wait, collecting dust. I bite my nails and I grind down my teeth until I became just what I seek. I am a knife. I am an animal. Losing my grip on humanity. I am the worst of us. Scrape my teeth on my bones until I'm sick of the sound. Pluck the hairs from head until I'm fit for the crown.
6.
Streets awash with scum, it makes me sick. I alone have the strength to deal with it. I alone. Cracked perception. I lean into the thrum. I can't make peace with what I've become. I alone. I bide my time. I see black and white. Look at what you did, what you made me do. I can't get the blood out, no matter how hard I scrub. Twitching nerve endings. The sin won't wash out.
7.
Burn Alive 03:05
Self-medicate. Sharpen all the edges. Fear what you create. Self-immolate. Blow out of control like a burning plain. Set loose like arrows, you blot out the sun. Get out from under the weight of the world. Calloused and angry, crooked and curled. Until one day your legs snap like twigs at the knees. There's only one way out. Work through the misery. Grind through the wall. A shadow behind you, avoiding it's call. Your boundless potential won't save you from death. Dragged to the end, leave a trail of regret. Dropped in the world cold, hunted, alone. Self-medicate. Sharpen all the edges. Fear what you create. Self-immolate. Blow out of control like a burning plain.
8.
Bad Dreams 01:20
Coming in flashes, relentless, intense. Clawing at air. A noose around my neck. Awake, awake, sheets soaked in sweat. Trudge through my day just to do it again. Some nights, I don't even sleep anymore. Bad dreams leave me so numb. Bad dreams. A fear of the setting sun.
9.
The world for us. The world in itself. The world without us. World beyond thought. World beyond hope. We are alone. --- I can't feel my fucking legs. Flashing colours, essence draining from my neck. There was so much to do. I had so much to do. It's getting colder. My lungs are heaving out of time. Don't let the concrete be the last thing that I see. There was so much to do. I had so much to do. Found bloodied in the parking lot. A search for answers he never got. Alert the family, print the name. This life cruel. It's such a shame.
10.
Aching. Bleeding. Bandaged. Pleading. World spinning. Essence draining. Final moments. Yearning. Choking. Praying. Flailing. It all goes black. With my last dying breath, I curse the living and the dead. Every name gets it's burial plate. Even great lives end up in a grave.
11.
Uptight 01:19
My teeth are rotting and my hair is falling out. Tremor sweats, snakes and beetles crawling from my mouth. The shell is a reflection of the ugliness inside. A living, burning effigy of every time I've lied. Crawl across the floor, a creature worth your scorn. I've been decaying since the day that I was born. Now I lay me down to sleep, but I don't have a soul worth keeping. If I should die before I wake, I'd see it as a blessing.
12.
Crush our fucking skulls in the sliding door. Let the amps pile on and pound us into mush. Let this destroy us so, when confronted with our corpses, none of our loved ones even recognizes us. A blight on the land. A curse on this house. We've learned to amplify the sound of our ennui. A black cloud of gnashing teeth, bones and mud and road debris. Obliterate ourselves as keepers of a faith. Bred on amphetamines, carcinogens and hate. A blight on the land. A curse on this house. We are few, but we are one, and we'll burn brighter than the sun. And you can sift our ashes into the sleeves of our Discharge records. Until we're dead and in the dirt.
